Ingredient facts / before the line

Start with the raw carrot.

USDA reference values for 100 g of edible raw carrot. Food identity: “Carrots, raw”, FDC 170393, NDB 11124. This basis excludes inedible refuse; it is not the weight of a soil-laden incoming root batch.

Composition on a common scale

The four bars compare grams per 100 g. Every track represents 0–100 g, with numerical values also available in the table.

Dietary fibre: 2.8 g / 100 g.
Included within carbohydrate by difference. Do not add it again to total carbohydrate or build an overlapping 100% chart.

Protein0.93 g
Total lipid (fat)0.24 g
Carbohydrate, by difference9.58 g

Ash is provided in the table but is not one of the selected comparison bars. Energy is measured in kcal, not grams. The bars do not claim to be a complete mass balance.

Official source and scope

USDA FoodData Central: Carrots, raw (170393). The values were extracted from the official SR Legacy April 2018 CSV archive, available through the USDA download catalogue.

SR Legacy April 2018 is a fixed historical release. The FDC food record was published on 1 April 2019; our source check was on 12 October 2026. This is not a fresh 2026 laboratory measurement.

SR Legacy documentation, Table 6 (page 12) specifies the 100 g edible-portion basis. The USDA carbohydrate explanation describes the inclusion of dietary fibre in carbohydrate by difference.
