Process logic

Preparation, softening, pulping and finishing form one chain

After cleaning and inspection, carrots are reduced to a controlled size and softened according to the intended pulping method. The pulper and finisher then create the required particle profile while separating material that does not belong in the final puree. If homogenization is required, its duty should be tied to a measurable texture target rather than added by habit.

Thicker products can behave differently through pumps, pipes, heat exchangers and fillers. The proposal should therefore state the assumed rheology or at least identify representative samples for trials. Oversizing one isolated machine does not solve a restrictive transfer or heat-transfer section elsewhere in the line.

Puree definition checklist

  • Target screen or particle profile and acceptable visible fiber
  • Single-strength puree or downstream concentration
  • Expected product temperature and viscosity range at transfer points
  • Package format, fill volume and downstream handling
  • Cleaning method, product recovery and changeover expectations

System balance

The smallest effective section can set the line rate

Capacity should be checked as a mass-flow and operating-cycle problem. Raw intake, preparation loss, product hold-up, thermal residence, filler cycle and CIP downtime all influence the realistic production plan. A single headline capacity is not enough to compare two systems.

Ask suppliers to state the product basis behind each capacity and whether it describes instantaneous machine duty, sustained line throughput or a daily output that includes cleaning.

Texture

Define what should pass into the puree and what should leave as a side stream.

Thermal duty

Match heat-transfer geometry and operating conditions to the real product behavior.

Filling

Confirm sterile boundary, package, closure and handling as part of the line.

Documented equipment

Use project images as context, not as performance certificates

The line image above and the filling image below document an installed equipment configuration. They are useful for discussing access, pipe routing, operator space and packaging interfaces. Final performance still depends on the signed project specification, feed conditions, commissioning protocol and acceptance criteria.
