Product application

Carrot Concentrate Ingredients

Choose a juice or puree concentrate route using ingredient composition, feed and final solids, rheology and downstream handling requirements.

Choose the base product before concentration

Juice concentrate and puree concentrate have different extraction and handling requirements. Juice begins with liquid separation; puree retains prepared tissue through pulping and refining. Identify which ingredient the receiving formulation needs. A solids target alone does not settle particle content, flow behaviour or the appropriate upstream equipment route.

Compare on the same solids boundary

State whether the specification refers to soluble solids or total solids, and identify the measurement method. Record extracted-feed conditions and final product conditions separately. Water removal changes output flow, so raw-root intake, evaporator feed and concentrate production should not be described with the same capacity number without a measured balance.

Plan the receiving interface

Discuss temperature, transfer pressure, tank discharge, package size and how the ingredient will be used at the next process. Include acceptable colour, flavour and texture changes. Representative feed trials help establish concentration behaviour and cleaning requirements; a product rating from another application is not sufficient evidence for the proposed carrot ingredient.
