Sizing

Separate instantaneous duty from sustained production

State whether capacity refers to raw intake, intermediate product or finished packaged output. Add operating hours, campaign length, cleaning time, planned changeovers and expected availability. This reveals whether two apparently identical capacity offers describe the same business outcome.

Where several products share the plant, provide a production mix. The most viscous puree may set pump or heat-transfer duty while the highest-volume juice sets tank and filling requirements.
