Carrot Processing Line Layout

Plan carrot line layout from root reception to product filling, with distinct side-stream routes, cleanability and maintenance access.

Draw the material flow before the footprint

Map root reception, washing, inspection and preparation before the extraction branch. Show the juice or puree route and the selected downstream duties. Add collection points for soil, stones, peel and extraction rejects. These streams should have practical removal routes without crossing prepared-product handling or obstructing normal equipment operation.

Reserve access and interfaces

Machine outlines are only part of the layout. Include maintenance clearance, access to screens and cutting elements, tank drainage, inspection points and connection heights. Review product transfer paths and the location of buffers. Site levels, floor loading and available space must be supplied for the actual arrangement rather than guessed from a process illustration.

Connect the utility and cleaning plan

Locate heating and cooling interfaces, washing water, cleaning returns and wastewater routes alongside the machines they serve. Keep control and installation responsibilities visible. Offered dimensions and drawings should drive the final layout. An early scope diagram helps organize the discussion, but is not a substitute for an approved installation arrangement and site-specific checks.

Equipment to consider

Common preparation

Multi-stage root washing system

Remove heavy soil through pre-washing, brush washing and a clean-water final rinse before inspection and cutting.

In
Raw roots with soil and adhering debris
Out
Washed roots with accessible surfaces for inspection
Product buffer and transfer system

Juice or puree at a measured process condition → Controlled feed to concentration, treatment or an existing process

Configuration and equipment drawing follow the confirmed process scope.

Downstream interface

Product buffer and transfer system

Keep the correct product branch moving without losing its capacity and hygiene boundaries.

In
Juice or puree at a measured process condition
Out
Controlled feed to concentration, treatment or an existing process

Validated finishing scope

Product and package filling interface

Bring product delivery, container handling and closure into one specified interface.

In
Prepared product and a compatible package under a defined process
Out
Filled, closed units transferred to the agreed distribution route
Cleaning and drain-down system

The defined dirty equipment circuits after product recovery → Cleaned equipment assessed under the agreed verification programme

Configuration and equipment drawing follow the confirmed process scope.

Whole-line interface

Cleaning and drain-down system

Make every preparation, extraction and finishing circuit accessible to its appropriate cleaning method.

Before you enquire

Questions worth answering.

Clear product and equipment requirements make the next conversation useful.

Which equipment duties are relevant to this project?

Multi-stage root washing system; Product buffer and transfer system; Product and package filling interface; Cleaning and drain-down system. The final scope follows the product, trials and selected package.

What should I send with my enquiry?

Dimensioned site plan and levels; Root, product and reject routes; Utilities and drain locations; Access for cleaning and maintenance; Buffer and package-handling requirements. If a condition is undecided, describe the intended finished product.
